so it turns out nate also likes vanessa. the duchess finds out about this and doesn't like it one bit.

but nate has already accepted the duchess offer and now he realized the mistake he has done. he goes back to chuck to take him on his offer but it's too late as chuck already channeled his money in bonds.

meanwhile chuck is having some problems getting things together. (if you know what i mean.)

dan and serena decides to get back together without talking about the reason why they broke up before in the first place.

jenny met eleanor waldoff, the designer she was interning for, for the first time, and she got fired for speaking her mind about a dress.

at a party organized by blair, vanessa finds out about nate and the duchess. and that's when the blackout happened, city-wide. however the duchess made a deal with vanessa that vanessa should leave nate alone or else the duchess will tell the police nate's father whereabout. vanessa gives in.

dan and serena got stuck in the elevator. and things between them got more awkward as neither wanted to talk about the reason they broke up before and they decided getting back together was a mistake.

jenny still at eleanor waldoff got stuck in the blackout. she helped eleanor with some designing and eventually got herself back in.

blair feels that lord marcus is not as passionate as her and asked him to meet her in her bedroom. chuck overheard the invitation and goes to meet blair since lord marcus was busy with the blackout. so blair made out chuck and got caught by lord marcus himself. blair confesses to lord marcus about his lack of passion, they kissed and everything's well.
